    Soap Fails

    Its all perfect. You have poured the melted soap into the mold, you set it out to harden. Its all perfect. You pop the beautiful work out of the molds. And that's when you realize that you didn't add the scent..... Restart :???:

    Is doing M&P Cheating? Like a Box Cake Mix?

    Honestly I think either way is fine. Some people like to do CP and some like M&P. Whichever works for you is fine. I do M&P and i love it. So dont worry anything you like is fine.:)

    I use the name-tag material, print my name and company, the ingredients and then print with the color that matches my website www.sweetandsoapy.com I still am working on the right type of packaging..     Which Colorant?

    I mainly use food coloring, but the color doesn't really work so i wouldn't use that. I sometimes use powdered colorant. It's really pretty. I'm looking into other real colorants as well.

    Love making soaps but hate cleaning up

    I'm pretty new to M&P soap but cleaning up has never been a problem for me YAY :) My 2 peices of equippment ( 2 double boilers, 2 for faster progress) are very easy to clean, i learned that soaking equipment in hot water for 10 mins always does the trick!

    What have you read and what are you reading?

    Well for now I am reading The Stone of Destiny, Rangers Apprentice (ultimate favorite of mine and my sisters) God's Smugglers and Frank Perrety Books. I would recommend Rangers apprentice and can't wait for mom to get the Brother-band, A take off of the last Rangers book :D

    Questions of a Newbie

    I have one small question but it is important to my time and progress. after I melt and pour into my molds to make them harden quicker can i put the molds in the refrigerator? Would it be harmful and make them crack or would it cool them too quickly? Thanks!
