    First swirl

Well, bit of a letdown. Swirls not nearly as crisp as I wanted. And it's a little soft, could've let it sit in the mold another day. I think I need to invest in some squeeze bottles for better lines!

    Underwater

    Wow!! I'm inspired!

    First swirl

First attempt at using colorants of any kind and swirling. I think it turned out nice! Peaked at it this morning and of course the color has turned a sort of shimmery gray, but I'm still pleased! The color is patina sheen mica.

Please help with some questions about sugar scrubs...?

I don't add a preservative to mine. My basic recipe that I've been making for months is 2 parts regular white sugar to 1 part any oil, and I usually use half pure olive and half jojoba, sweet almond, or avocado, plus a few drops of essential oil.

    Crayon lipstick

In case anyone was wondering, I did it. Here's the result, I'm pretty happy with it! 1/2 tsp coconut oil 1/4 tsp olive oil 1 whole crayola crayon (I used red)

    Crayon lipstick

Yes, I did mean good ol crayola crayons. I'm not really a lipstick wearer, just wanted to try it for fun. I feel that if you add the right oils and a few drops of eo it probably wouldn't be an offensive flavor and feel on your lips. I wanted to see if anyone here had tried it so I could...

    Tea Tree

I blended orange eo with tea tree on a batch of cp and it smells great, reminiscent of fruit loops cereal

    Crayon lipstick

Has anyone ever tried to make lipstick/lip balm using crayons? I've been reading up on recipes but I'd like to know which oils are best to use before I dive in!

    Everywhere or hands only ?

I use my first couple batches as hand soap (basic recipe) and now that I know what different oils do I use the moisturizing soap in the shower only. As someone else said, this is the first winter my knuckles haven't cracked and bled from dryness. Also my back and chest are clearer (acne wise)...

    Need Patchouli mixing ideas?

I've used it with lavender and it remains my favorite smelling soap so far. I used more lavender than patchouli, don't remember the exact ratio though. I also made a solid perfume with lav, patch and grapefruit that smells like fruity pebbles (the cereal), probably would be nicer as a soap than...

    Essential oil blend mistake!!!!

That is some beautiful soap, you should be proud to show it off! If you don't like the smell, push it onto friends and family members without mentioning the smell. That's what I do! Haha. They'll be gracious and accept it, especially since it looks so awesome.

    Love the stripe! Very unique

    White soap

Thanks for the responses! You guys are awesome! I don't plan on using any animal products in my soap so it looks like pomace and coconut is a good idea.

    White soap

What oils do I need to use to get the whitest bar of soap possible? Without colorants. I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything definitive when I did a search!

    Cheesecake soaps

Wow! I love the "crust" on the bottom! I want some real cheese cake now..

To wash Or not to Wash, that is the question?

I tried leaving my soapy bowls in the sink overnight to let the residue saponify once thinking cleaning would be a breeze... It wasn't. It's SO much easier to clean everything when the soap is still liquid and fresh than when it's dried into the equipment. It's like scrubbing food residue the...
