I'm still a relatively new soaper (about 2 years), but I don't understand how using less lye could make a lye heavy soap?

I did try soapcalc, but all the inputs got me confused and I wasn't sure if what I put in was correct. I did these figures manually, using the sap value of .19 for the coconut oil.

I make soap just for our family's use, and we have noticed that our bathroom drains (shower and sink) get gunked up fairly quickly. The recipe I use is lard, coconut oil, olive oil, and castor oil. Does anyone else experience this? (My husband really wondered if this was due to the soap.)

I made some 100% lard soap with 8% SF, and don't like it. The recipe I like and mostly use is 50% lard, and 25% Coconut and Olive. Can I somehow rebatch this 100% lard and get it closer to the recipe I like? And if so, is that considered rebatching? Thanks! Missy

Well, I'll admit to being a soap-peaker and early-unmolder! I'll try not uncovering for 24 hours and try wrapping in an extra towel! If that doesn't work, I'll try the alcohol. Thanks!

What am I doing wrong? There's got to be something. Each time I line my mold with freezer paper, the next day when I go to unmold, there's a little bit of soap leakage at a corner or two (it's not usually ALL corners, so I'm getting at least a couple right!) Obviously, I'm trying do to them...

The frosted pumpkin discolored to a butterscotch brown color. A little deeper than pudding. It's a really pretty brown.

All of these turned out really nice! The warm vanilla sugar is very subtle, but nice. The frosted pumpkin came out of the mold really strong, and sickly sweet, imo. But, as it's cured, it's a very nice scent, too! And, of course, the lavender luxury came out really nice, too! I have...
