    I used double the lye - yikes!

    I was trying to make shampoo bars. I read the directions wrong...instead of using 3 oz of lye, I used 8oz. I thought something was wrong from the get go because it traced very fast and it hardened in the molds within hours. Do I: A) try to correct with rebatching and adding more oil or B)...

    can I use my handheld blender for cooking again?

    I bought a hand held blender to blend soap. If I clean it well, can I use it for cooking?????
