Rather neat imo that it's moldable like this at this current stage though. I almost feel like it would be interesting to try and treat some of it as clay, and sculpt something, and then see how it behaves as it continues to cure.

As @lsg mentioned, this is likely just because it's mostly olive oil, but for anyone curious, here are those pictures.

Literally as I was taking pictures I remembered about olive oil taking longer to cure haha, that's very likely the reason why 🤦‍♂️ The batch was made a little under a month ago/a little over 3 weeks ago, on the 16th of September.

Yeah no, when I measured out the oil it was in grams, I just couldn't remember off the top of my head what the gram amount had been haha 252 does sound correct though

Hello! This recipe is one I've already made, and so far I've really liked how the bars turned out. They don't feel soapy or oily to the touch, and they haven't dried my hands out. Information to note, my skin is fairly sensitive (I have a number of contact allergies), and in addition to that...

Also, side note, the cruets I have that I was planning to use for any infusions, whether alkanet or otherwise, I'm thinking now that I should've bought bigger ones, or at least more of them haha

In relation to this, I do have another question. When adding the alkanet infusion to the soap, is it best to add before adding the lye, or after trace? I'm hoping to get a purple color. I've been using hot process to try and control which oil is left as the superfat, so if it's best to add...
