    Butter mint candies

I have a request for a butter mint fragranced lotion/cream that smells "just like the butter mints from restaurants or wedding favors". There are several suppliers listed on fragranceoilfinder.com for "Butter Mint (candies)" but when I searched the actual sites (Aroma Haven, Just Scent Candle...

    Shrink wrapper...?

I also use the wand system from nationalshrinkwrap.com. At first I was hesitant to invest so much money into the system but never regretted it. I wrap 16 bars at once in a couple of minutes. The perforated polyolefin film is great for cp and the customer service is excellent.

    Silvermoon soap molds

Thanks gogreen! I am glad they responded to your email. I was looking at the mini mold 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5. That would make 4 - 1 inch bars (and a half bar). I just looked at the sizes of their log molds. They do have a great variety. For width I like 3.5 and for height 2.5. That is my standard...

    standard size of a bar

My soaps are 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 and weigh between 4 and 4 1/2 oz each. To me those are standard size bars but some people like larger sizes (5-6 oz bars).

    Silvermoon soap molds

Their website has been "under construction" for quite some time. I emailed them twice a few weeks ago asking about shipping times but they have not responded. Even though their molds look very nice and reviews are good I am hesitant to order.

    Silvermoon/Woodfields silicone molds

I have also read good reviews on Silvermoon molds. Their liners are 1/4" thick for durability. Couldn't find a thickness size on Woodfields molds. I emailed Silvermoon yesterday to ask a few specific questions. We'll see...

Lemongrass Poppyseed FAIL - new pics added

I don't see DOS either. It looks like a beautiful batch to me! Way to go! I usually add a bit of turmeric to my lemongrass soap to get a natural yellow color.

    Silvermoon/Woodfields silicone molds

I am looking into getting a silicone mold for a 1 lb test batch. A search turned up Silvermoon and Woodfields. I found some older posts on Silvermoon and it seems like their website has been under construction since Aug. 11. Has anyone ordered from them since Aug. ? I like their molds because it...

    Rainbow Meadow's blend calculator:(

I noticed it was gone a couple of days ago. I had been using it quite a bit and really hope it will be back up.

Has anyone been able to make blue soap?

I also use ultramarine blue. Depending on the amount you use you can go from pastel blue to dark blue. I add the powdered pigment to my warmed oils to make sure it dissolves well.

    Do you bevel your edges?

I edge my soaps with the soap edger from soapequipment.com. It is a very handy tool. I can edge a bar of soap in just a few seconds. I have gotten positive feedback on the smooth edges from several customers. I think edged soaps are more professional and easier to use.

    Looking for

I had also searched the internet for hours to find wholesale wooden soap dishes and accessories. I finally came across Saopania, had never heard about them before and was hesitant at first. But I liked their selection of "natural" items and like I said have been pleased with them so far. I also...

Concerns over mailing soap to Europe

I regularly sell soap to countries in Europe and across the world and always note the value of the soap on the customs form (since it is merchandise). Never had a problem.

    Looking for

A few months ago I ordered several different items from Soapania, including soap dishes, scrubbers, and sponges. The shipment arrived promptly and I had no problem with them whatsoever. I am using one of the soap dishes to "test" it. So far so good. (I had wooden soap dishes from a different...

    Tobacco, Leather and Bay fragrances

I have a nice leather scent from Day Star called Saddle Shop. It holds up well in cp soap. WSP's Santa's Pipe smells more like cherry than tobacco.
