I tried all kinds of way when first starting out. I finally ended up getting a Presto Pot. I LOVE it. It did take a little getting used to but once I had it down I will never go back to any other way. Carole

I made my batch today and it came out really cool in the dog bone mold. A question though..... while washing up my soap pot and utensils I noticed my hands were Oh, so soft!! I used castor oil and think that is what did it. Does anyone add extra castor oil to their regular soap base? Carole

All along I've been using regular alcohol for layers on M&P. Today I switched to 91% and my layered log has fallen apart when I sliced it. Is it the 91% alcohol that caused it?
