The smell of your unscented soap relies a lot on what oils you use in the soap. I can't stand the smell of palm oil in soap AT ALL. I wish I did, as I can get it locally for half the price of the coconut I have delivered, lol. As you discovered, overheating your oils before mixing your lye...

I do CPOP to make sure the soap gels :) I love the difference it brings in feel to the soap. Natural colors "pop" more or darken more with gel. I still cure the soap for the proper amount of time. Many say it helps cure faster, but honestly, nothing will speed up the gentling that happens...

generally the only way to have a hard bar of soap is to not overuse soft oils and butters and to have a long cure to remove any excess water. Most handmade need quite a long cure to be very firm. how long are you curing your soaps before using them? Do you use a water discount? Do you have...

labels by the sheet has inkjet clear labels, too :) just make sureto let them dry completely before touching them. No labels will be 100 %smear perfect without a laser but inkjet waterproof ones DO work well if used properly. They ship first class if you order less than 10 sheets so its worth...

labelsbythesheet.com has wonderful crystal clear laser labels :) I've been using them for years and they are very economical for the home crafter or small time soap seller :) And perfect for those of us with impulse control issues ;) you can get any size you want and buy 1 sheet or a million ;)

Re: floral waxes do survive saponification but you have to figure them into your lye equation... um... lemme try to remember... yes, use the beeswax sap values

Ylang Ylang and Jasmine both have that undertone of earthiness so she might like Ylang Ylang. Ylang Ylang and Rosewood are VERY nice together. Rich and floral and earthy. Geranium is spendy, yes, but a little goes a LONG way in a blend. My current favorite floral soap is approximately 4...

well, i just watched about 20 of the 54 videos, lol... those bars look fun and super easy to make! I do have a question, though, do you neeeed to make them that bog for one bath or will smaller still make enough bubbles? I was thinking of making tons of sees candy size bon bon ones...
