my cp soaps are getting this stuff on top after gelling does anyone know what im doing wrong? its hard to clean off once curing..the one on left doesn't have it. one on right does. came from same batch. thank you in advance guys!

i know IrishLass! thats why im kinda baffled! not quite knowing whats going on! made them right after each other and didnt do anything different!

the vibrant soap on the right looked this way almost from the beginning. it never went through the gel phase that i know of the other one did it almost looks translucent and from what im reading this is normal? for gelled soap? mine have gelled in the past and never looked like my batches are...

Thank you guys! I am just wondering why they turned out so different? I don't think the one that's so vibrant gelled but still wondering why the other turned out w such a blah finish. I'm wondering if I spritzed to much alcohol ...

and how can i clean it after it cures? the other is a batch that didn't gel, even tho i sure tried to get it to. now im tempted to not gel my soaps, it turned out so pretty and was easy to get out of mold also.. any input is very appreciated! thank you!

This are my 2 batches the vibrate one is the one that did not gel.

i have always tried to gel my CP soaps last night one of my batches did not gel no mater how hard i tried.. it actually is beautiful, no ash and the colors are vibrate. my question is is it better to Gel.. im sure its a personal preference here. but what do most of you do? im reading if i don't...

CP batch of approx. 2.5 including water/lye. i have been using about 1 TBS of cornstarch but thought id try Bentonite Clay to help anchor scent. any thoughts as to cornstarch verses clay and about how much clay to a batch? thank you so much! have been researching on the threads but not finding...
