Hi there, I've never noticed that it changes the fragrance of my soap. You can use the SAO from the grocery store, that's what I did when I started soaping. Then the addiction started :D & I had to order larger quantities of oils so I switched to a supplier to save some $$. Hope that helps!

Can anyone tell me the shelf life for coconut oil? Can it be frozen? I have an opportunity to buy a large quantity (for me anyway) but it was purchased last fall & if it's going to go rancid within a yr I don't want to buy it. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just finished making my niece a 100% olive oil soap & I used all coconut milk instead of water. I also added a little oatmeal & vitamin E. She has really dry skin so I'm hoping this helps her. I can't wait for it to cure so I can try it. I'm a little nervous about using all coconut milk...
