    Laundry detergent consumption

There is no problem concerning quality. The problem I talked about is connected with quantity.

    Laundry detergent consumption

Thank you @DeeAnna. My asked you because I made such detergent and couldn't use less than 60g. Which absolutely corresponds with your answer. There is advertisement that says their powder is more efficient and more concerned than commercial. They claim they use only soap and natural ingredients...

    Laundry detergent consumption

Well maybe the question is badly structured. I don'tknow where that "dust" came from. My initial idea is if it is possible to use less home made powder made of soap, Sodium carbonate, etc. than you are used to use from commercial laundry detergent. I have read the suggested quantity - 1-2...

    Laundry detergent consumption

I have a question that has excited me for some time. Is there a way for household washing powder to have lower consumption than commercial dust. How much of your house dust do you use? Have you investigated this?

    Potassium soap superfat

This statement is not for particular soap or recipe. It was written as basic statement. Yes it might be connected with concentration.

    Potassium soap superfat

Does anyone knows what might mean that 3% SF in potassium soap is equal to 10% SF in sodium soap? Is it correct?

    Adding essential oils & cloudiness

Hallo @lsg , I am a little bit confused of that LS tutorials. Do you use boric acid or Borax to neutralize your soap? Everywhere they write 20% solution of Boric acid or 33% solution of Borax. How this is possible? The solubility limit of Boric acid at 25 degrees Celsius in water is about 5%...

    Adding essential oils & cloudiness

Hallo Lima, 1. I am little bit confused. How it is one and the same soap in different times. You mean you have divided the batch into small jars and you added the EO to one of the immediately after dilution and to the other after several months? What have you tried to fix it? What were the...

Rose absolute in CP soap - yay or nay?

Strongly NAY! It definitely doesn't worth. Rose absolute is more expansive than gold and does not deserve to finish in soap :( Do not use even Rose Essential oil in soap. You can imitate Rose scent with Rose Geranium, Citronella, Palmarosa, Rosewood oils and maybe others.

    Honey transformation in soap

@geniash one way of destruction of sucrose is breaking the link between glucose and fructose - right. That is the main problem of sugar production - to keep the sugar intact after treatment with calcium hydroxide (mild alkali). In strong alkaline conditions ways of degradation of sugar are more...

    Honey transformation in soap

Nope. I will try substituting all honey I use in soap with something else. There are other options. I don't see any reason to keep using honey if there is no honey in the soap.

    Same as you.

    Honey transformation in soap

Sorry but I am not sure. Following the logic that hydoxyl groups are responsible for the action of sugars I suppose that smaller compounds with hydroxyl groups are supporting bubbles too. Lactic acid/sodium lactate is compound with hydroxyl group too. It is one of the products of the degradation.

    Honey transformation in soap

@TheGecko , under severity I mean harshness. Strong alkaline media like 50-40 even 20 % lye solution is very disrupting media for many compounds. Yes soaps have antibacterial properties because the molecule is not changed. Also process of saponification is well investigated. Same is with coconut...
