I bought the Cool Citrus Basil from Peak. The first time I smelled this out of the bottle it smelled so great.. It was herbal smelling, with a very faint citrus scent underneath, and so nice. Just my type of fragrance.

About a week later, I sniffed it again and it smelled... very different. It smelled like a strong cologne smell. I thought, hmm that's really weird. So I used it in my soap anyway.

So I left the bar to cure for over a week, cut a bar and brought it to my husband and I said, "what do you think of this? what does it smell like?" and he started singing "you're not fully clean, unless you're ZESTFULLY clean!" ... he says he thinks it smells like a bar of Zest soap.

So I don't know what happened to my lovely FO, maybe the air getting to it made it bad, or maybe it got too warm, but it went stinky. So beware.

its one of the few i dont care for from peak, my co-worker wanted it, i didnt sell one! i gave her the 10 bars i made. zest, not sure i got that out of it.

Yeah... I'm curious to know why mine smells like that. it did not smell like that when I first sniffed it in the bottle.

comparable to a zest / irish spring bar of soap. stinky.
